Miami popular attractions

Miami Seaquarium, a beautiful place full of aquatic life and shows, any child’s dream to visit there. I’m sure most of you heard of it, it’s not popular just for any old reason, and it’s the longest operating oceanarium in the world. It’s located near Downtown Miami, in Virginia Key. It’s actually one of Miami’s biggest attractions, people flock there to sea amazing aquatic shows with animals, and to view all the different type of species of fishes there are in the Atlantic waters. The park offers a wide array of attractions and shows; they host eight different animal shows and presentations daily.

It’s the 3rd biggest contributor to Miami Dade County’s revenue through land leasing and taxes, with a whopping 600,000 visitors a year, you can’t blame them. There’s so much to see on this 38-acre aquatic wonderland. A place where dolphins walk on water, and killer whales fly through the air, they don’t only have dolphins and killer whales, but sea lions also. What’s one of the most awesome things about this park is that you can get up close and personal, you can ride with the dolphins yourself, or ride on them, that’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Entrance price

It’s a very affordable park to go see, it’s only $29.95 for an adult and $22.95 for children 3-9 years old. Not all people appreciate this wonderful park, some animal extremist claim the animals aren’t treated correctly, but that case has been dismissed so many times, I guess they just don’t want to see the animals used for entertainment purposes. The Miami Seaquarium has been around since 1955, the employees there have a passion for what they do, and would never mistreat the animals in any shape or form, besides if the animals were mistreated there couldn’t give the awesome show that they give daily. The park is so great they offer many events throughout the year, not too long ago they hosted this fun filled event called pirates weekend, the children who showed up in pirate costumes would only pay $10 for entry. They hosted a treasure hunting event for the children; the children who found Davey Jones’ treasure were in for a sweet treat.

They had shows for the whole summer, featuring their resident pirate “Salty”, and shows daily with wire acts by the pillaging pirates of the Columbian Caribbean. Also with a 25 foot slide leading into the water, great for children, it’s not only entertaining, it’s educational. They give you a greater understanding of marine life like never before. They’re so dedicated to what they do; the park is open 365 days out of the year. So if you’re visiting Miami Beach, it is an absolutely must do, and must see event. It’s affordable and is memory of a life time event. Such tours provided to you by Half Price Tour Tickets.
